About The Site:
The Sacramento Area Science Project (SASP) is an education partnership between the University of California, Davis, and California State University, Sacramento. SASP is a regional site of the California Science Project, one of the California Subject Matter projects.
SASP seeks to provide science educators with useful, high quality professional development, encourage teachers to be reflective practitioners focused on student understanding, expand understanding about teaching and learning and provide forums where science educators can exchange ideas and engage in professional dialogue.
In fulfilling this mission the two universities work closely with schools, school districts, science centers, county offices of education, community colleges, public and private organizations, and science educators to increase the quality of science instruction. SASP serves as a regional network for disseminating information about science education. We offer a variety of programs, workshops and institutes throughout the year, and provide customized services to schools and districts.
