Current Practices in Mathematics: A Workshop for Mathematics Educators in Leadership

About The Program:


This is professional development workshop for K-12 Mathematics, TOSA's, and others who play a leadership role in mathematics education. Consisting of four sessions in four different locations, participants will:

  • Engage in mathematical modeling and develop a deeper understanding of this Standard for Mathematical Practice
  • Identify the components of a balanced day, week and unit of high-quality mathematics instruction
  • Identify a topic in mathematics that they would like to address by taking action. Action may include presenting at a conference, speaking at a board meeting or presenting to parents or staff
  • Engage in conversations about current topics in mathematics education
