This 40-hour program support CSMP Goal I and it’s targeted for teachers of Spanish who teach all levels,including Heritage Speakers and Advanced Placement courses. The program will employ a variety ofauthentic texts, different “close” reading activities, and “scaffolding” strategies to analyze texts, structures,patterns, meaning, and author’s styles. Participants will be engaging in exploring different pedagogical practices and multimedia resources to achieve higher levels of literacy as well as cultural knowledge and  appreciation.Program will be offered the following dates and sites:California State University, Fresno: 9/22/18, 10/13/18, 12/1/18, 2/23/19, 3/30/19 Facilitators:Angélica Jiménez & Jeanette WullschlegerVisalia USD
