Teaching for Sustainable Communities: Empowering Eco-Literate Global Citzens

About The Program:

This year-long K-8 program begins with a summer institute, continues during the school year with follow-up meetings, and local support and culminates with a student exhibition of learning and action projects. Designed for interdisciplinary studies and teaching of environmental literacy and global competence, teachers will examine sustainable communities with social, economic, and ecological diversity. Content and resources will be tailored to the group's needs while focusing on strategies for equity and engagement for all students.
