MBER-Bio (Model Based Educational Resource-Biology) is a community of science educators dedicated to creating, evolving, and sustaining a coherent collection of instructional materials & resources to teach a full year of High School Biology. This 4-day institute on July 9-12, 2018 at Sacramento State is designed to help you navigate the collection of tools, links, strategies, and resources created to provide you with a deeper insight into the nuances of the Model-Based Educational Resource. Through the ideas presented, you'll understand what changes in thought and action will make you and your students' transition to a model-based classroom a success. In addition to the four days of training and workshops, you'll also receive a lifelong membership to the MBER Biology community, as well as access to the full year of NGSS-aligned high school biology curriculum materials. Learn how to use the MBER materials and teach in ways that support students in science learning as called for in NGSS.
