About The Program:


Teaching with Primary Sources Levels 1-2 will focus on influential women in history who played major roles in local, California, and United States history. Expert teacher leaders will demonstrate inquiry-based lessons and activities designed to develop knowledge and skills in history-social science as well as language and literacy aligned to the new History-Social Science Framework. Participants will explore the amazing collection of resources of the Library of Congress and learn how to use primary sources in the classroom to develop knowledge and skills. The workshop is provided at no cost to the participating teachers and two semester units of continuing education units will be available for a $100 fee.
