California Alliance for Arts Education – EYAA Question? Refer to CAAE website at www.artsed411.org The Emerging Young Artist Awards (EYAA) enables talented young Californians to pursue their dreams of becoming professional artists through financial support. The EYAA opens doors by providing up to $5,000 per year for four years ($20,000) to talented young artists while enrolled in a college/university degree program or professional training program in their artistic discipline. One top award is granted in each of the four disciplines of Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. The two runners-up in each art form will receive $1,000 cash awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements. All semifinalists will receive a certificate of recognition. EYAA awards are determined by three levels of competition.
Throughout the adjudication process, professional artists and arts educators examine each applicant’s artistic potential, career aspirations, academic history and financial need. After careful deliberation by these distinguished panelists, one awardee and two runners-up will be selected in each art form. ELIGIBILITY Who is eligible to apply?
