CANDIDATE SUPPORT
If you are interested in becoming a candidate for national certification, you may want to find a network of other teachers to work with during your candidacy. Many Nationally Board certified teachers cite the important role of their colleagues during the portfolio process. The National Board certification is designed to be collaborative: colleagues provide critical reflection, help to build professional knowledge, and lend emotional and logistical support.

To find a support network, please inform your district office of your intention to become a candidate and ask whether the district plans to support teachers during the assessment process. Work with the district and other identified National Board Certified teachers in your district, if possible. TCAP Contact.
