Designed to improve teacher practice and instruction in physical education and health education with the ultimate goal of positively impacting student learning within a standards' based environment through the exploration of effective approaches to teaching and learning within a climate which encourages reflection and change.

Project NorthReach (PNR) Physical Education-Health Project, is a California Subject Matter Project. It is designed to improve teacher practice and instruction in physical education and health education with the ultimate goal of positively impacting student learning within a standards' based environment. PNR Physical Education - Health Project provides teachers a professional home by offering ongoing support and opportunities to address the challenges of teaching in California. PNR Physical Education - Health Project teachers engage in the study of health and physical education through the exploration of effective approaches to teaching and learning within a climate which encourages reflection and change.
