The Fresno site is one of seven California History Social Science Projects that provide professional development for K-12 teachers. The Project offers programs that focus on both content knowledge and effective teaching strategies. The Fresno site currently offers scholarly lectures on topics related to the California Standards as well as workshops on U.S., European and World History. The Fresno Project does not offer Academic Literacy through History Institutes but can facilitate contact between interested teachers or districts and sites that do offer such programs. Dr. Melissa Jordine is currently the director of the History Project @ Fresno State.
