CSU Dominguez Hills Mathematics Project
The Region 11B CSMP sites work in numerous districts and school throughout Los Angeles County and parts of Orange County, mostly in areas of high need. Working with partner schools and districts, particularly program improvement schools, the sites emphasize institutional change.
The California Subject Matter Project Sites of Region 11B are committed to raising student achievement in low performing schools, especially among second language learners. Through collaborations with targeted districts and schools, we provide standards-based professional development that fosters teachers’ content knowledge and pedagogical proficiency. CSMP programs provide opportunities for area teachers to work with University scholars as well as veteran teacher leaders. Our programs are integrated and ongoing, and provide follow-up support for classroom implementation, assuring that our large goal of increasing student achievement is met.
