The Source Spring 2012

The National Coalition of Core Arts Standards has completed the selection of writing teams and chairs for the next generation of arts standards project. NCCAS is a coalition of eight national organizations committed to developing new voluntary arts education standards that will build on the foundations created by the 1994 National Arts Standards and, more recently, the 2005 Standards for Learning and Teaching Dance in the Arts, to help guide curriculum designers, teacher training programs, funders, and federal and state policy makers in their arts education decision-making.

Executive Summary - Learning World Languages and Cultures in California: A Stimulus for Academic and Economic Success

The CRLP Literacy Empowerment for Universal Access workshop at CLU offers a variety of topics for all educators, ranging from primary Question, Answer, Relationship (QAR) teaching strategies to secondary classroom literacy strategies.  Workshops are also offered in the use of 21st Century technology in the classroom and how to apply for grants to acquire this technology.

California Lutheran University is honored to offer this event at a reduced rate for teachers in need of professional development during these tough economic times.  The all-day fee is just $49.  This fee includes morning refreshments, morning and afternoon workshops of your choice, a buffet lunch, and the keynote presentation. 

The registration deadline is June 10, 2011.  Registrations received prior to May 13, 2011 will receive an early bird discount of 10%.

CSMP Site Summaries 2008-09 RFs

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education NHEC is designed to help K-12 history teachers access resources and materials to improve U.S. history education in the classroom. The Clearinghouse builds on and disseminates the valuable lessons learned by more than 800 TAH projects designed to raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge and understanding of traditional U.S. history. The site was created with the goal of placing history content, teaching strategies, current research and issues, community building, and easy access to resources at center stage. .
