The Marchand Image Collection housed at the History Project at UC Davis comprises more than 8600 images. Many images have been digitized from slides and therefore are not available elsewhere. Faculty members of the UC Davis History Department contribute images used in their teaching. The growing collection includes maps, Aztec codices, early Americana, advertising posters and more.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education NHEC is designed to help K-12 history teachers access resources and materials to improve U.S. history education in the classroom. The Clearinghouse builds on and disseminates the valuable lessons learned by more than 800 TAH projects designed to raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge and understanding of traditional U.S. history. The site was created with the goal of placing history content, teaching strategies, current research and issues, community building, and easy access to resources at center stage.
