Region 11B has no delineated service region; however, in general, the CSMP sites serve teachers in schools and districts located in southwest, south, and central Los Angeles County. LA County is an urban region with many opportunities for entertainment, including museums, parks, beaches, mountains, hiking trails, amusement parks, shopping centers, and concert halls. Within LA County are many ethnic neighborhoods with ethnic food and ethnic events where culture is preserved and where many students and their families congregate, reflecting the diversity of this region. There are over 80 school districts in LA County, with the largest, Los Angeles Unified School District, serving about half of the student population of Los Angeles County.
