Providing the infrastructure for science professional development across the state, the CSP is a network of regional sites housed in the departments of science of universities and independent colleges in California. Headquartered at UCLA and part of the larger network of discipline specific networks known as the California Subject Matter Project administered by the University of California, Office of the President, the CSP collaborates with teachers, schools and districts to provide effective and high quality science instruction, with a special focus on the needs of English learners, students in poverty, and students with low literacy.
