CPE-HP began in 1994 and is the newest member of the CSMP community. CPE-HP has sites at California State Universities at San Jose and Long Beach, which provide intensive summer institutes and year-long follow-ups. Our focus is on deepening teachers’ academic content knowledge and instructional strategies to improve standards-based physical and health instruction. Site leadership includes K-12 physical and health education specialists and multiple subject teachers working with university faculty from all disciplines within health and physical education.
