Program: Administrator Symposium: Dialogue with Tim Kanold & Jack Mitchell
What is the role of administrators in supporting teachers to increase student engagement and provide successful pathways for students to becollege and career ready? A Dialogue with Tim Kanold and Jack Mitchell. This symposium will highlight units in which teams of mathematics and CTE teachers have been working togetherstatewide since last fall. This is an opportunity for administrators to:• Explore strategies for implementing Common Core State Standards in Math through applied Project-based learningand see results from integrated math and career technical education units and projects• View integrated lessons designed to help students make meaningful connections between what they are learning inschool and how it applies to their future to be college and career ready.• Observe math and CTE teachers engaging students in integrated lessons that incorporate relevant projects, involve real products and real consequences.
