Writing Matters @ CSUS: Implementing Effective Approaches to Teaching Writing
Learn how to blend quality picture books and oral language with current curriculum to develop student writing. Participants will engage in book “think alouds”, active listening exercises, and write personal narratives. Learn how to create everyday classroom opportunities to foster writers through the power of books and the power of talk. Student samples will be shared.
