These dinner meetings bring together from 15-20 SCWriP fellows who have for the past four years, engaged in a special interest group inquiry into issues of race and social justice in our school institutions. Frequently we bring in a guest presenter, Jarrod Swartz from the Just Communities organization in our community to facilitate the development of norms and protocols for our discussion on emotionally related topics. The members of the group share readings do some writing and sharing on proposed topics, and discus implications for classroom practice.
