Program: Meetings for TIC: CCWP Teacher Inquiry Community

Supported by a NWP TIC grant, CCWP in collaboration with the University of California, Santa Cruz, Education Department has designed a Teacher Inquiry Community (TIC) that focuses on equity issues around access, relevance and diversity in elementary classrooms in a program improvement elementary school in Pajaro Valley Unified School District. The H.A. Hyde School teacher team, two UCSC professors and two UCSC grad students are implementing classroom research based on inquiry questions, conducting classroom research, learning about current research in writing education and research methodology, writing about the results of their research for publication and collaborating to share best practice in effective writing instruction.
