The content of the institute is as follows: a) exploration of the major artistic movements in Peninsular and Spanish American cinema exploring cross-cultural links to history, current events, arts, music and literature; b) strategies for the analysis of the cinematic arts; c) study of representative films and filmmakers; d) examination of procedures for developing linguistic and cultural proficiency; e) review of content-specific instructional practices to deliver outcomes from the World Language Standards for California Public Schools.
