This FUNdamentals of Interdisciplinary Arts program provides educators from various districts the opportunity to deepen their subject matter content knowledge in dance, music, visual art and language arts. Participants prepare model lessons integrating visual art and language arts and study Backward Design to assist participants during the NCAP Interdisciplinary Program. Participants engage in standards-based instructional design, and demonstrate successful standards-based teaching practices. The participating educators also become informed of arts education issues, and engage in professional reflection.
