When and Where: TCAP programs may be offered in the summer or distributed throughout the school year, across the TCAP network. These programs may take the form of school-year workshops, series or intensive institutes, depending on regional or specific district needs.

What to Expect: Though the format and specific content can vary, each TCAP program has common elements: Participating teachers are engaged in hands-on discipline work modeling exemplary classroom practice, content pedagogy, management, and are engaged throughout the process in professional reflection and examination of student work.  Teachers learn to go beyond the “concert” or the “art project” to creating a standards-based classroom unit with assessments to support VAPA education.
