The San Diego Area Writing Project provides professional development programs for teachers in the San Diego/Imperial area/region. Located in CREATE (Center for Research in Educational Equity, Assessment & Teaching Excellence) at UC San Diego, the San Diego Area Writing Project offers research-based programs aligned with the Common Core, English Language Development, and Career & Technical Education standards that are designed to improve students' understanding of writing.
