Results: Academic Language and Literacy Instruction (RALLI) K-6, a CRLP professional development institute, provides teachers and administrators with the tools and skills necessary to analyze the academic and literacy demands of complex literary and informational text. The Action Research component deepens content knowledge and facilitates effective implementation of RALLI. Be able to support the implementation of the Common Core State Standards by understanding what it means to be a literate person in the 21st century and the level of reading, writing, speaking, and thinking required to prepare students for college. Review strategies for differentiation to facilitate access for English learners across levels of English language proficiency. Learn how to streamline the RALLI lesson planning process to help make complex academic text more accessible to all students, increase students' use of academic language, and improve motivation and engagement. Learn how to effectively integrate academic language and literacy instruction throughout the instructional day using a wide range of literature and complex informational text.
