The Central Valley Science Project in the School of Education and Human Development at California State University, Fresno offers a "Professional Home" for K-16 teachers of science. This unique "home" provides a place for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation; a place where teachers can refine their teaching skills, gain new science content knowledge and build strong professional relationships with other teachers.

The CVSP programs include a residential summer institute at Huntington Lake and academic-year follow-up retreats in interesting locations such as Morro Bay. During the institutes and retreats, teachers receive high-quality professional development and leadership experiences while networking with teachers and science professionals from throughout Central California. Additionally, teacher stipends and instructional materials mini-grants are provided. If you have been looking for a place to call your "Professional Home" watch for application flyers at your school or email Jim Marshall, Project Director with your name and address.
