The California History-Social Science Project (CHSSP) is a K-16 collaborative headquartered at UC Davis and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in history and social science education. Part of the larger network of discipline-specific sites known as the California Subject Matter Projects, CHSSP sites are housed in the departments of history and geography at university campuses throughout California.

CHSSP Advisory Board Meeting April 24
The CHSSP Advisory Board meeting will be held Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Memorial Union at UC Davis. Our meeting will begin at 10 and conclude at 3 pm.

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1. Review of CHSSP Applications for Continued Funding
2. CHSSP Update
3. Public Comment

2009 We Are California Workshops
In partnership with the California Council for the Humanities, the California History-Social Science Project is proud to announce the 2009 schedule of We Are California workshops, scheduled across California.

These workshops, which will highlight the resources available on the CCH's new We Are California website-- www.WeAreCa.org -- are designed to explore the history of migration to California and offer participants two classroom-ready units of study, a scholar presentation on teaching about immigration, and a catered lunch, all for only $35.
