Algebra Instructional Materials Institute Grades 6-12
This one week institute represents a collaboration between the East Side Union District and all feeder districts to articulate about newly adopted algebra programs. Starting date July 30, 2001.
MPDI Geometry Institute Grades 9-12
High School Mathematics Teachers with 40 hours in the summer
and 80 hours in the academic year. This institute will focus on the use and application of dynamic geometry. Proposed dates August 13-17, 2001.
MPDI Upper Elementary Institute Year 1 Grades 4-6
Focus on Elementary Number and Operations. Thirty teaches from Cupertino School District will be participating.
Mateo Counties. This will take place at San Jose State University.. Proposed Starting Date : July 30, 2001.
MPDI Upper Elementary Institute Year 1 Grades 4-6
Focus on Elementary Number and Operations. A variety of Districts will be participating from Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. This will take place at the Tech Museum in San Jose. Proposed Starting Date : August 15, 2001.
MPDI Upper Elementary Institute Year 2 Grades 4-6
Focus on Geometry. Teachers from 15 Districts in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties will be participating.
Proposed Starting Date : June 25, 2001.
MPDI Upper Elementary Institute Year 2 Grades 4-6
Focus onGeometry. Teachers from Alum Rock Union Elementary School District will be participating. This will take place at Shepard Middle School in San Jose.
Proposed Starting Date : June 20, 2001.
MPDI Upper Elementary Mathematics Institute
Grades 4-6 with 120 hours in the summer and 80 hours in the
academic year. Credit will be given for Math 12, Number Systems
including whole numbers, decimals and rational numbers, and
Math 105, Concepts in math, including introductions to algebraic
reasoning, patterns in data and graphs. Proposed Starting Date : August 15, 2001.
