General Information
While working together in the supportive atmosphere of RAMP, our Institutes often begin with an intensive five day event and continue with follow-up activities throughout the year where teachers meet in the beautiful redwood forests of Humboldt County to share their experience and expertise with that of other teachers. Together they investigate the current move towards balance in mathematics education, problem-solving strategies, collaborative learning, language and cultural issues in learning mathematics, the use of manipulatives to reinforce basic skills, assessment techniques, and the importance of technology in the classroom.
