Select and support good teacher leaders in consultation with district administrators;

Focus on the mathematical acuity and understanding of the teacher leaders;

Focus on the sharing and critical examination of algebraic content knowledge;

Focus on the sharing and critical examination of classroom practices that lead to a deep understanding of the mathematical underpinnings of Algebra I;

Support teacher leaders in the use of district adopted texts and supplemental materials;

Support teachers in their practice of leadership at the school level;

Work with districts to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure that English Language Learners (ELLs) receive quality instruction in mathematics;

Create a professional home for teachers that embraces an appreciation of mathematics.
