Institutional Integration

High school students representing 17 different countries negotiate at a Global Forum. They "met" on-line on a daily basis for six weeks prior to the Forum.
CISP sites are expected to be an integral part of the academic and educational mission and fabric of their own sponsoring institutions. A central goal of site leadership is facilitation of a rich exchange and an on-going professional dialogue between world affairs and pedagogical specialists in universities or other educational or community organizations and educators in schools and districts. This goal seeks a subtle interplay between educators with a deep knowledge of schools, curriculum, and staff development and academic specialists from sponsoring institutions or other organizations in the community. Consequently, CISP site leaders devote significant attention to securing the involvement of international and pedagogical specialists; strengthening the site's facilities, finances and support systems; relating to complementary programs; and generally developing intra- and inter- institutional relationships and connections that add to the site's stability.
