About The California International Studies Project

The California Global Education Project (CGEP), formerly the California International Studies Project, is a statewide network that connects universities, schools, and districts in collaborative efforts to increase PK-12 teacher competence in cultural and global studies. CGEP promotes the development of global competence and agency for all students. Through professional learning programs that engage academic scholars and teacher leaders in planning, implementation, and evaluation, CGEP seeks to improve geographic and historical as well as contemporary knowledge of 21st century realities that are fundamentally altering the international landscape and domestic affairs.
